Linc Cundall Memorial AM and CW Event

Event History

Linc Cundall – W2LC formerly W2QY was a cofounder of the AWA when it was formed back in 1952. Linc became a SK in 1985 and to honor him, the previous OT CW Contest was renamed by Bruce Kelley-W2ICE to be called the Linc Cundall Memorial CW Event.

As time went by, a number of adjustments have been made to the scoring.  The age of equipment qualifying for the highest point level was raised in 1990 to make WWII equipment qualify.  Power levels have been shifted over the years.  Currently, this contest is designed to favor those using low power equipment constructed before 1950. Once again, this year we are streamlining the scoring with a few adjustments.  AM operation is also being added this year.  Newer Hams who did not have to learn CW will be able to join in the fun with their vintage gear.
