AWA Conference Theme and Resources

Below is the theme for this year’s Conference, a set of navigational button links to the full set of Conference information pages and registration links.

As in past years, the events will include technical presentations, flea market, book fair, equipment contest, event dinners and equipment auction.  Registration will close at Noon on Friday of the week for the event.

Conference Theme

​The 2022 AWA Annual Conference will be held October 4 to 8, 2022 with the theme “100 Years of Radio Broadcasting and The Evolution of Amateur Radio”. It is not too early to put those dates on your calendar.

Details for this year’s event will be posted as they are confirmed starting in July.

Visit the AWA Wireless Museum during a special free open house on Wednesday evening, October 5th, from 5 to 8 PM.

The conference guidelines include information regarding AWA Conference policies with respect to attendance and participation at the event including the Outdoor Flea Market and Saturday Equipment Auction.

The Conference schedule is similar each year, with the start on Tuesday afternoon and conclusion on Saturday with an equipment action. As the event dates approach, the schedule is refined with the actual presentation titles and times for each. Check here near the event for the latest version and a downloadable/printable version.

The button to the right provides access to the conference registration details, the printable registration form as well as a link to the on-line registration page. This year includes there is a new on-line system, so please review the instructions on this page prior to actually registering.

Each year’s AWA Conference includes a major equipment contest providing attendees to display some of their favored items and allow attendees to see both rare and high quality displays of radios equipment history. Each year the contest includes specific categories tailored to the year’s theme as well as a standing set of categories across the entire sphere of communication technology.
