Awards and Recognitions

Over the past years of AWA operations, a series of awards and recognitions have developed to focus on the various facets of electronic communications.  These awards focus on recognizing past achievements as well as on-going effort to preserve, document, promote and explore radio’s technology.

The Antique Wireless Association (AWA) annually acknowledges a number of specific accomplishments to individuals and organizations that help to document, promote or contribute to the history of communication technologies and the AWA.

Acknowledgements generally fall into three categories (awards and recognitions of service and contest winning) for specific contribution areas and recognitions for support to AWA and its efforts.

The annual process of making these awards and recognitions in preparation for the Annual Conference held in the late summer or early fall of each year.  Should you wish to see that your individual or organization receive one of these acknowledgements, visit the Nomination page of this website.
