Three wonderful examples of working spark transmitters are shown here. On the right is a simple transceiver with Ford Spark Coil and Crystal Detector and a range of two blocks! Next to that is a 1/2 kilowatt rotary spark transmitter, beautifully built and a real ozone generator when keyed. Above that, with higher speed motor and more points is another rotary spark job that produces a very pleasing and distinctive 800 cycle note. |
